Questions

Spontaneous C O R E

with Lyndsay Savage Lamb

Is there a way your body wants to move, but it’s made you believe you can’t?

What if your body could do anything - what’s the first movement it would reclaim?

“I don’t give you a template to overlay on your body, together we set the stage for you to experience and feel your own movements and experiences.”

I am not the owner of your felt understanding, I see you and help you see yourself

Engage your core: What have you been trained to do?

Does “Engaging your core” work for you

Do you feel buoyant and flexible while “Engaging your core”

Can you still breath with “Engaging your core”

Would your smart device recorded your nervous system as calm while you “Engage your core”

Four guiding Principles for Spontaneous C O R E

1.  CROWN The support structure that is higher up the chain of command, for example, the arm pit is the crown structure for the arm. This is the starting point for alignment… the set up for Spontaneous Core

2.  OVERRIDE Turn on muscles needed for movement and more importantly, Turn down muscles not needed for movement. Learn to detect compensatory patterns that don’t serve the movement and that lead to pain or strain

3.  REHEARSE   Through aligned, intelligent practice, move the body along clean, smooth pathways

4.  EASE  Moving slowly with the mind in the body, creates: Connection, Expansion, Rooting, Space for Breath to flow, and No Pain. Become aware and notice the spiral lines of the body

“Don’t rehearse by rote, but with Curiosity”

“Movement with ease and integrity arises from seeing and sensing from the inside—guided by interoception and inner awareness.”

Private Yoga Therapy Sessions with Lyndsay — Spontaneous Core and Personal Embodiment (Online or in person)

Each private yoga therapy session is a deeply personal and responsive experience—an invitation to be seen, to begin exactly where you are, and to explore movement, breath, and awareness in a way that honours your unique body and story. Like entering a destination into a GPS, we begin from your true starting point—physical, emotional, energetic, and experiential.

Together, we tune into what I call the Spontaneous Core—the body’s intelligent responsiveness that arises not from force or willpower, but from connection. Through the crowns of the body—the domed joints and co-muscle areas like the armpits, groin, and soles—we access higher centers of influence that gently override habitual compensations and restore integrity to your movements.

You’ll be guided in rehearsing movements that invite curiosity and presence rather than performance. We move slowly, with introspection and ease, allowing the nervous system to soften, and the body to remember what it’s capable of. This work is about finding support from within—physically, emotionally, and somatically—so that healing, strength, and expression arise naturally.

These sessions are not just about poses or fixing pain. They are about restoring relationship—to yourself, your breath, your structure, and your potential. It’s a practice of unfolding, listening, and rediscovering your body’s innate wisdom.

When trust, curiosity and foundational movements culminate… When you  understand that there is more involved to limitations than simple physicality… then we can make a road map to reclaiming functionality.

Knowing where you are wanting to go is the start. Creating the map implies we know where you are starting from and then we set the course

Pain begins in the mind… as does Harmony

“The mind and body are not separate. They are like two sides of the same coin.” — Eckhart Tolle

“The mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other.” —Joseph Pilates

“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” ― B.K.S Iyengar

“Your body hears everything your mind says” (Naomi Judd)
